Klinik Arun has had the privilege of caring for the health and wellbeing of the Kulim community across three generations — many of today’s patients are the children and grandchildren of those who first walked through our doors over forty-five years ago.
While honouring the vision of our founder, we’ve continually evolved alongside modern medicine. Our doctors have a particular clinical interest in dermatology, yet Klinik Arun remains a comprehensive general practice — offering health screening, chronic disease management, diabetic wound care, women’s and men’s health, vaccinations, minor surgical procedures, and early assessment and referral for medical emergencies.

Dato' Dr Thandapani
Dato' Dr Thandapani
A Lifetime Dedicated to Medicine and Community
With more than 50 years of medical experience, including almost 40 years at Klinik Arun, Dato’ Dr Thandapani represents an important part of the clinic’s history and its continuing commitment to the Kulim community.
He qualified in medicine from Mysore University and was registered as a medical practitioner in 1976. He began his early clinical training at Madras Royapettah Hospital before returning to Malaysia, where he broadened his clinical experience across hospitals including Hospital Kuala Terengganu, Hospital Kota Bharu, Hospital Kuala Kangsar, Hospital Sungai Petani, and Hospital Kangar.
He went on to serve as a military doctor with the Malaysian Armed Forces, later becoming Leader and Division Head of Rumah Sakit Angkatan Tentera Sungai Petani, and subsequently Deputy Assistant Director of Medical Services for Sabah & Sarawak — experience that shaped his disciplined, decisive approach to patient care.
Committed to continuing medical education, his qualifications include a Diploma in Practical Dermatology (Cardiff, UK), a Diploma in Reproductive Medicine (University of Malaya), and a Diploma of Aesthetic Medicine (American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, USA).

He is a Life Member of the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) and PMPS, and serves as an Advisor to JCI Penang.

Dr Tameer Pani
Dr Tameer Pani
Dr Tameer Pani graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2015 from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, India. Since then, he has gained valuable clinical experience across India, Australia, and Malaysia, developing a broad foundation in both acute hospital medicine and community-based primary care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Tameer served as a Medical Officer in Internal Medicine, caring for patients with complex medical illnesses during one of the most challenging periods in modern healthcare. He later worked in the Emergency and Trauma Department, managing a wide range of medical and surgical emergencies and sharpening his ability to make timely clinical decisions with a calm, reassuring approach.
In 2022, Dr Tameer joined Klinik Arun, where he provides comprehensive primary healthcare for patients of all ages — from acute illnesses and chronic conditions to preventive healthcare and minor procedures.
Alongside general practice, Dr Tameer has pursued postgraduate training in Dermatology, with a particular interest in paediatric dermatology — helping infants, children, and adolescents with eczema, atopic dermatitis, acne, skin infections, and other common skin conditions. He believes effective treatment begins with careful assessment, patient education, and building lasting relationships with families.
He also completed a Master of International Public Health (MIPH) and a Master of Health Management (MHM) at The University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, reflecting his interest in improving healthcare through public health and evidence-based practice.
